Are you a chef or serious foodie?
Dubai; For those of you FooDiva Friends who are chefs, whether professional, amateur, or simply have a serious interest in food, I urge you to read the new Pro Chef Middle East magazine.
Edited by veteran food writer Dave Reeder of CPI Publishing, the trade magazine truly focuses on sharing the talent, inspiration and innovation of chefs – both local and international but all with a keen interest in the Middle East’s F&B scene. I know for a fact I spent a good few hours reading the launch issue, taken aback by the level of detail and knowledge shared – the frozen or fresh fish debate in particular intrigued me. I may be biased, but a feature discussing the value of restaurant reviews also makes for healthy reading. I guarantee you will learn a thing or two like I did.
Good news is you can read the magazine’s first issue online by clicking here. Or if you’re an F&B industry professional, please drop Dave an email (contact details on the same site) and he will happily send you a copy, whilst also adding you to the mailing list for future issues. Watch out for the second edition out early April.
Whilst we’re on the subject of magazines, in FooDiva’s haste this month with the abundance of foodie activity, I forgot to tell you Gourmet’s March issue has been out and about – anyhow it’s still on the shelves this week if you’d like to grab a copy. Aside from my expert column, here’s a snapshot of my contribution:
- New restaurant opening – Legends steakhouse at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
- International restaurant of the month – the quaint yet electric Moroccan eatery Momo Beirut.
- Top chef – meet Argentinian, Norberto Palacios of Asado at The Palace Old Town.
Happy reading and a bientôt!
